Basketball Camps 2025
Get involved during school breaks with JabStep Basketball Camps! Skills taught include shooting, dribbling, passing, and defensive techniques. Speed and agility training. Along with competitions, 3v3, and 5v5 tournament style games daily!
Travel Teams
Our competitive teams practice twice a week and tour the Pinellas area, playing in two tournaments a month. Our highest level of coaching, which includes film room, practices, games, tournaments. Prepare your player for middle school, high school, and collegiate ball.
Youth Leagues
Youth development leagues running Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall are the perfect chance to get your player on the court. Compete against players your age with 5v5 full court games on Saturdays.
Skills Training
Experience hands-on coaching tailored to your skill level. Our in-person sessions focus on personalized development to elevate your game. Lessons are hosted Tuesdays/Thursdays afterschool. Designed specifically to target the strengths and weaknesses of your game.

Academy
Welcome to JabStep Basketball Academy, where we prioritize faith and excellence in basketball training! My name is Alex Jacovides, and as a local to the Westchase/Oldsmar area, I grew up attending Deer Park Elementary, Farnell Middle School, and Alonso High School. During my time as an Alonso Raven, I had the honor of becoming the most accurate 3-point shooter in the state of Florida during my junior year. The success continued when I attended Suffolk University in downtown Boston, where I led all of Men's NCAA in 3-point shooting percentage in 2019 (Div. I, II, & III)
Now, I'm back home, ready to make a difference through JabStep Basketball Academy. Our mission is not only to help your child develop their basketball skills but also to instill core values and life lessons. By putting God first in all that we do, we aim to guide young athletes in treating others with respect, valuing themselves, and being exceptional teammates. We also emphasize the skills needed to become outstanding leaders both on and off the court.
